UrlExaminer is operated by Impellio. This policy explains what data we collect when you use this service and why.
UrlExaminer does not use tracking or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, or any third-party tracking service.
The only cookie we set is a session cookie used to keep you logged in. It contains no personal information beyond a session identifier, is deleted when you close your browser or log out, and is strictly necessary to operate the service. Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements — which is why you won't see a cookie banner here.
All fonts used on this site are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts or any other external font service.
UrlExaminer audits websites in two ways:
In both cases, we make the same HTTP requests your browser would make — reading only what is publicly accessible. We do not access authenticated content, bypass access controls, or collect personal data from the websites we audit.
Published reports contain only aggregate findings. No individual website is identified in a way that constitutes personal data, and no user data from audited websites is collected or retained.
Research audit data — including the URLs audited and their results — is deleted 90 days after the associated report is published. The published report itself is retained permanently as the authoritative record of findings. If your website has been included in a research audit, you may receive a copy of the individual report, and you can request deletion of your underlying audit data at any time before the 90-day window closes — see below.
User-submitted audit data is retained for as long as the submitting user maintains an account with us.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Requests are fulfilled within 30 days.
